Men’s Fashion During the 70s Sure Was… Something Else

Look, I get it - fashion is a cycle. What looks ridiculous today might be high fashion tomorrow (we've all seen the return of the mullet). But wow, men in the 1970s really committed to their looks. And by committed, I mean they showed up to life dressed like disco cowboys, textured wallpaper, or human versions of the living room couch.

We're talking bell bottoms that defy physics, lapels that could lift you into orbit, and enough earth tones to camouflage into a wood-paneled basement. Everything was tighter, hairier, and somehow both funkier and itchier.

No shade if you rocked this look back in the day - or if you're brave enough to try it now - but I'm kind of grateful to live in an era where jeans and a T-shirt are considered "put together."
